Historical Footage

On and off stage there are lots of precious historical audio/video recordings. We are pleased to share these materials with music friends.

琵琶彈唱-瀏陽河(SAV0101-V001)

劉德海先生不僅是琵琶大家，真摯的演唱也是技驚四座。

“River Liu-yang” sung by LIU De-hai Audience were astonished by the unexpected singing by the great pipa master – LIU De-hai.

板胡獨奏《大起板》(SAV0102-V002)

板胡獨奏《大起板》何彬編曲，演繹：劉明源，伴奏：新影樂團民族樂隊
劉明源先生於1957年第六屆世界青年與學生聯歡節民間器樂比賽的演奏榮獲金質獎章，這是他回國後錄製的經典記錄。

“Da-Qi-Ban” is a Banhu music arranged by HE Bin. This historical recording was performed by the Huqin master LIU Ming-yuan after he won the gold award in a world music competition in 1957.

二胡與樂隊《病中吟》(SAV0102-V003)

二胡與樂隊《病中吟》, 作曲：劉天華, 改編：彭修文, 二胡獨奏：劉長福, 樂隊：中國廣播民族樂團，指揮：彭修文
彭修文先生創作及改编的樂曲眾多，二胡與樂隊的《病中吟》是很少出现的一首，现特別呈獻這個由彭先生改编並親自指揮的罕見版本。

Mr.PENG Xiu-wen has composed and arranged a lot of musical pieces, "Sigh of Ailment"composed by LIU Tian-hua and arranged by Mr. PENG is a piece seldom performed. This is a rare recording of this music conducted by Mr. PENG.(Erhu solo by LIU Chang-fu)

笛子獨奏《人民公社好》(SAV0102-V004)

笛子獨奏《人民公社好》作曲：陸春齡，演奏：陸春齡，伴奏：上海民族樂團
陸春齡先生的笛子獨奏與上海民族樂團一直以來都合作無間，但很少有年青的錄像留存，此片段見其珍貴。

“People’s Commune” is a dizi solo played by LU Chun-ling when he was very young. This is a precious video recording of Master LU.

高胡獨奏《鳥投林》(SAV0102-V005)

高胡獨奏《鳥投林》作曲：易劍泉，演繹：劉天一
《鳥投林》一曲自面世及今，一直是廣府粵樂的經典作品, 而劉天一先生是首位將鳥聲演奏由灌水陶瓷小鳥改由粵胡演奏，收錄的經典片段就能看到要領。

“Birds in the Forest” is one of the most popular Gaohu solo piece in Cantonese music. This recording was played by LIU Tian-yi, the first one using the Gaohu to imitate many types of birds’ sound.

絲弦五重奏《歡樂的夜晚》(SAV0102-V006)

絲弦五重奏《歡樂的夜晚》作曲：胡登跳，演繹：郭敏清（揚琴）、周麗娟（琵琶）、吳強（柳琴）、王蔚（古箏）、王莉莉（二胡）
胡登跳先生首創絲弦五重奏演奏型式，《歡樂的夜晚》是其中一首最早期及流行最廣的作品，胡先生親自挑選了上海音樂學院當年的五位音樂家成立這絲弦五重奏小組, 此錄像就是這元老小組的經典記錄。

The quintet format using 5 Chinese traditional string instruments was founded by HU Deng-tiao. “A Joyful Night” was one of his most popular composition. This historical recording was played by the first quintet chosen by Mr. HU.

江南絲竹《中花六板》(SAV0103-V003)

江南絲竹《中花六板》，演繹：陸春齡（笛）、周惠（揚琴）、馬聖龍（琵琶）、周皓（二胡）
被譽為現代絲竹樂的四大名家陸春齡、周惠、馬聖龍、周皓，演繹著名的中等長度的「六板」變體樂曲《中花六板》。

“Zhong Hua Liu Ban” is one of the most famous Jiangnan traditional music. This version was played by the 4 renowned masters – LU Chun-ling (dizi), Zhou Hui (Yangqin), MA Sheng-long) and ZHOU Hao(erhu).

江南絲竹《行街》(SAV0103-V004)

江南絲竹《行街》，演奏：湯家班（湯良洲、湯良德、湯秀娣、湯良興、湯良甫、湯良忠……等）
湯家班以其合作無間的濃郁江南氣韻，演繹出八大名曲之一的代表曲目《行街》。

“Xing Jie” is another popular Jiangnan traditional music. This piece was played by another famous group – The TANG Family.

四人合弄特大洞簫《巨竹引》(SAV0104-V004)

四人合弄特大洞簫《巨竹引》作曲：陳中申，演奏：譚寶碩、張維良、陳中申、朱紹威
譚寶碩先生獨具創意地製作了一根特大巨簫，陳中申先生知悉此事特為此簫寫下《巨竹引》一曲；「龍音」因此邀得中港台的簫樂翹楚，用此巨簫合弄《巨竹引》於《簫聲震武林》音樂會中。

A giant bamboo Xiao was made by TAM Bao-shuo (Xiao master in Hong Kong), and a song named “Melody of Giant Xiao” was specially written for this big Xiao by CHEN Zhong-shen (Xiao master in Taiwan). Together with Zhang Wei-liang (Xiao master in China) and ZHU Zhao-wei (Xiao master in Hong Kong), 4 masters played this song in a ROI concert successfully in 2000.
